The Firearms Safety & Handling Actors Workshop is designed to teach actors about firearms safety, handling and authenticity. It will teach you to be safer and more comfortable when handling firearms on set and how to look like you really know what you are doing with a gun in your hand. Workshop participants will learn:• Terminology
• Safety and checking procedures
• How to stay safe when working with blanks
• The right questions to ask on film and theatre sets
• Authentic marksmanship techniques
• Handgun shooting skills
• Live-fire target practiceParticipants handle both prop firearms and real firearms under the watchful eye of experienced instructors, and they will get plenty of hands-on practice with both blanks and live rounds at a shooting range in a safe and controlled environment.

(Workshop instructor Dave Brown is a professional firearms trainer and firearms safety specialist. His clients have included government, military and police. On film sets, Dave has worked on over 100 film, television and theatre productions and has trained some of the top names in Hollywood. Dave has taught workshops across Canada and has been invited as far away as Los Angeles to speak about safety in film.)
